Amazing food and impeccable service. Place was beautifully designed mad even better with the knowledgeable staff explaining each item. Every dish was cooked to perfection! Bread came out piping hot, steamy on the inside, and perfect with the smoked bacon butter and sweet goat cheese. Steaks was charred perfectly yet juicy and perfect with the different spices. Jollof rice was packed full of flavour and fragrance and went perfect with the grilled chicken.
1) Ambiance - The ambiance at Thamba is very nice and the perfect setting for a date night. 2) Drinks - The cocktails were very unique and well-crafted. They had a very personal and creative touch. The one shown in the photo features a Brazilian soccer player. 3) Food - The food was also absolutely tasty! Each dish delivered great flavor. Dish wise we went for their dinner set for one to share, and added on the wood-fired ribeye. It was just the right amount for two people. The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested and was very flavorful. Every dish from the dinner set was very good, with the soup being my personal favourite. It had a nice kick and leaned slightly on the spicy side, but still very manageable. 4) Service - What truly stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Special mention to Wendy, John, and Zach, who took the time to explain every dish in detail. It added a very personal touch to the experience, and their knowledge of both the food and cocktails really showed. They even let us sample the alcohol base before committing to a cocktail, which made the whole experience feel thoughtful and tailored. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I’d definitely recommend.
Went here for dinner a few days ago with my cousins. We expected good food and drinks, but were actually blown away by the experience we had there. Everything at Tamba tells its own unique story, from the food and drinks to the interior, decorations and even the song choice. It truly transported us to Africa with a well rounded, immersive experience. The staff were also super welcoming, which added even more to our experience. I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite dish because everything was so damn good and well balanced, you could taste savoriness, sweetness, umami and spice in almost every dish. All the dishes I ordered were paired with chili sauce, which made them even better for a spicy food lover like me. As for the drinks, my number one would be Smoker’s Kiss and their very own rum. Would definitely recommend and come back!
