I highly recommend Banana Leaf Apolo Restaurant for hosting special events! I booked their 2nd-floor venue for my mum’s 70th birthday, and it was the perfect choice. The space is excellent, featuring a spacious buffet area and a dedicated stage for decorations and cake cutting. They also provided beautifully decorated tables, chairs, and a DJ system with microphones for hosting. The food is outstanding. For the first event, we chose the South Indian package featuring their incredible signature Chicken Masala. We were so satisfied that I booked them again for my daughter’s 21st birthday, this time opting for the North Indian package. Our guests gave us so many compliments on the amazing taste! On top of all, the service was truly top-notch. Mr. Ragu coordinated everything perfectly, and Mr. Michael assisted us kindly throughout the entire event. If you want top-notch flavor and an affordable event venue, Banana Leaf is the place to go!
Nice fish head curry, service was a bit lacking one dish did not arrive before we finished, no checking of ordered dishes. Added extra drink to bill. Been here a few times. Good lime juice.
This place is pretty famous in Singapore for South Indian Banana Leaf food. I had Banana Leaf rice with 2 vegetables at the side, cabbage and long beans. My choice of protein was the Masala Chicken. Portion was big. Rice and vegetables are refillable. I also had this with papadam and rasam. Rasam was tangy and spicy as how it should be. Overall, the taste was average. I had a lot vegetable with a small portion of rice. The cabbage was plain and the long beans peratal was a bit better. Chicken curry was also normal. Nothing was really outstanding. The environment was comfortable. Not many people as it was a late lunch for me at almost 2:30pm. Pricing was ok for this type of restaurant.
