Ultimate Food Journey is not just an eating tour. There’s plenty of eating involved, but it's also a cultural deep-dive into the beloved wet markets and hawker stalls that explores the origins and heritage of iconic Singapore staples like local coffee, belachan, roti prata, and lots more. The tour starts in the best way possible; by eating, of course! You’re brought to a hawker centre to sample the best of the best local dishes. At a local wet market, you will be introduced to local ingredients and how they're used in signature Singapore dishes. Next, enjoy an intimate visit to two family-run factories to get a behind-the-scenes look at the local food industry. Then, before you know it, it’s a hands-on popiah-rolling lunch session. The tour ends on a sweet note, with the famos putu piring at arguably Singaporean’s favourite putu piring stall. See how it’s made up close and eat as many as you want.

It was full house on a Saturday night. Started off well with orders taken, water and wine served. Food served in good time given the overwhelming crowd. Tasty authentic food - simply wonderful! Service was below expectations due to severe understaffing. The whole team was just fluttering around the restaurant in constant panic mode. To be fair, they are doing their best. However, the understaffing situation showed up obviously in the service provided. Warm water glasses were refilled with iced water. One of them just presumed we are done when he asked if we wanted dessert and we said no. He started clearing the table and then took the half eaten pizza away without even asking if we wanted to takeaway. The restaurant setting was nice, food was great but service level was severely compromised due to the team being shorthanded, resulting in an unpleasant dining experience in a tensed environment. To be fair to the team, hire more staff for the front of house to improve the dining experience for patrons.

Exceptional family dinner at this gem! Hidden in Shangri-La’s lush gardens, the colonial Italian vibe—wooden shutters, spice shelves, torch gingers, and private pod seating—felt intimate and magical for our little one. Warm lighting and pool views made it perfect for a relaxed evening. Food was spot-on authentic Southern Italian. Started with silky Velutata di Zucca e Cappesante (pumpkin soup with roasted scallops, S$22)—creamy sweetness balanced by briny bites. Tartara di Tonno Pinna Gialla (yellowfin tuna tartare, S$32) melted in the mouth: sashimi-grade tuna, creamy avocado, popping salmon roe, ginger, and mango coulis. Carpaccio di Manzo (beef tenderloin, S$38) was elegantly thin over rocket with parmesan and balsamic. Pastas shone: Spaghetti alle Vongole (S$33) had al dente strands, plump clams in light white wine-garlic sauce. The star? Spaghetti alla Chitarra con Aragosta (squid ink lobster pasta, S$68)—jet-black noodles with sweet Boston lobster chunks and cherry tomatoes. 250g Bistecca alla Griglia (Angus ribeye, S$68) grilled juicy with crisp fries and sundried tomatoes. Desserts delighted: Silky Panna Cotta Coulis al Mango (S$16) with tangy mango drizzle and strawberries; classic Tiramisù (S$16) layered perfectly. Attentive service under Chef Simone Loisi matched the quality—fresh ingredients, generous portions. 5/5 stars. Ideal for families or dates in Orchard. Worth every SGD (plus 10% service/taxes). We’ll return!
